I talk to photographers all the time and many of them are quite talented at photographing things their cameras can see. Artist Todd McLellan has found a very interesting way to photograph how his camera sees and breaking down the photographic world – exploding a Pentax SLR into its tiniest pieces and parts and then composing them quite beautifully. His “destructive” image brings a sense of understanding and complexity to the creation of pictures and presents itself as a very dynamic piece.
This isn’t the only highly engineered device Todd has taken apart. He has a whole series of images on his website for you to check out from radios to telephones all broken down to the last piece.
